My name is Corey Wright. I’m a 26 year old entrepreneur, and owner of Wright Brothers Communications, a company that I started with my brother, Casey, back in 2005. Owning my own business has been an incredible experience that has stretched me in so many areas of my life. I’m fortunate enough to work with extremely talented people and truly love what I do.

In 2004, I completed my undergraduate degree in Business at Point Loma Nazarene University. I then went on to earn my MBA from San Diego State University. In 2008, I was given the opportunity to return to Point Loma Nazarene University as an adjunct professor of the MBA program. Currently, I teach Business Communication (BUS603) in the Spring, and Organizational Communication (BUS665) in the Summer.

There’s a lot more to me than just business though. Here’s a list of things that make me smile:

sports, traveling, beer, music, cheese, God, tea, wine, golf, comedy, boats, swimming, cooking, surfing the net, jacuzzis, board games, public speaking, apple, laughter, family & friends, DVR, blogging, q-tips, winning, chuck taylors, bbm’ing, pizza, San Diego, photography, squash air freshener, wi-fi, reality crime shows

One of my goals this year to take out one "Person of Influence" (POI) to lunch each month. This term, while vague and undefined, leaves little question in my mind for who qualifies. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by influential people every single day. For these lunches, however, I am challenging myself to reach beyond what is easily accessible and comfortable.

Originally, I was not going to have questions prepared or bring anything to help record the event. It was merely a personal exercise that would benefit me greatly. I did not initially plan on creating a blog to document these powerful moments, nor did I plan on sharing them. I quickly realized I would be severely cheating myself not to.

For now, the goal is to enjoy a lunch on me, then video record a few specific questions that I've prepared for that POI. I will post each of the videos on this blog to share it with you. This blog also serves as a challenge to each of you to seek out People of Influence in your life who are making a difference and let them know it.
